Importance of The Employment Relationship in Organization

The Employment Relationship Defines

Figure 1:The employment relationship

The employment relationship defines the interconnections that exist between managers and employees in the workplace. These may be recognized, eg contracts of employment, or informal, in the shape of the psychological contract (Kessler and Undy, 1996 Kessler and Kessler, 1996).

Nature of Employment Relationship

Figure 1.1:Work and Employment

Basis of the Employment Relationship

According to Dr. John O'Driscoll, employers and employees still have implied legal rights and obligations in the employment relationship. claims that unless the terms of the contract have been fixed through collective bargaining, the employer has the authority to dictate them. the employee has corresponding obligations, which include obedience, competence, honesty, and loyalty.

  • An employee's pledge to deliver skills and effort in return for a salary. Talent and skill in exchange for a salary or wage
  • Employer should provide safe working environment and act in good reliance
  • Employee should be dutiful, skilled honest and loyal

.The Importance of good employee relationship

The workforce is still a challenge to deal with, and it is not one to be underestimated. Employees have a right to speak up, and denying them this essential right will harm their productivity, effort, and overall pleasure.

Workers aren't merely there to show up, perform their work, and leave. And, frighteningly, many firms are still operated in this manner.

A good work environment has a direct impact on employee relations as well as corporate performance. This is due to the fact that if a member of staff is happy and comfortable where they work, they are more likely to speak openly, feel more motivated, and give it their all, resulting in better production.

A good workplace is a place where everyone wants to work, and ensures the smooth running of business. This means regular involvement, commitment and employee engagement all play a part in maintaining a positive working environment for employees. The best way to maintain this is by having a team of people who want to work together
